1. About this policy

TradeWithTech ("we", "us", "our") runs the website tradewithtech.in, a stock screening, charting and trade journal platform for Indian markets. TradeWithTech is operated by Shilpi Verma, Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh, India.

This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how it is stored, and the choices you have. By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

2. Information we collect

We collect only what we need to run your account and improve the platform.

• Account details: name, email address, username, bio and sign-in method, to create and manage your account.
• Mobile number: verified through a one-time OTP, to verify your account and allow one free trial per person.
• Saved settings: watchlists, presets, saved strategies, custom indicators and chart templates, so your work is available whenever you log in.
• Plan and payment records: plan type, expiry date, and for each payment the amount, date, plan period and any referral or discount code used, to activate your Pro plan and keep accurate accounts.
• Referral details: who referred you and your own referral code, to run our referral program.
• Usage information: pages visited and screener filters used, linked to your account, to understand which features are used and improve the platform.
• Messages you send us: support emails, WhatsApp messages and feedback form entries, to respond to you. If you allow it on the feedback form, your name, rating and review may be shown on our website.

We do not collect your broker login details, trading account passwords, or bank details. Payments are currently arranged directly over WhatsApp or email, and we do not store card or UPI details on the platform.

3. Your trade journal data

Your trade journal data, including trades, positions, capital, notes, setups and charts, is saved in your own browser. If you connect Google Drive, it is also backed up to your own Google Drive account.

This data is not stored on our servers, and we have no access to it. It stays fully under your control: you can view, export or delete it at any time from your browser or your Google Drive.

To show live prices for your open positions, the platform downloads a common price file and matches prices inside your browser. Your list of stocks or positions is not sent to us for this.

4. How we use your information

We use your information only to:

• create, verify and secure your account
• activate and manage your Free, Trial or Pro plan
• keep records of payments
• prevent misuse, such as the same person claiming multiple free trials
• run the referral program and calculate rewards
• respond to your support requests and feedback
• understand how the platform is used, so we can fix issues and improve features

We do not sell your data, rent it, or use it for advertising.

5. Where your data is stored and how it is protected

Your account information, saved settings, plan and payment records, and referral details are stored on Google Firebase, a cloud service run by Google. Usage information is stored on Google Firebase and Cloudflare. Both services encrypt stored data by default.

Access rules on our database ensure that each user can read and change only their own data. Access to all user data is restricted to the people who run TradeWithTech, and is used only for maintenance, support, payments and plan management.

No method of storing data online is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information and will inform affected users if we become aware of a breach involving their personal data.

6. Third-party services we use

We use a small number of trusted services to run the platform. We do not use any advertising networks, analytics trackers or ad tools.

• Google Firebase (Authentication and Firestore): sign-in, OTP verification and storage of account data
• Google Drive: backup of your journal, only if you connect it, to your own Drive
• Google Fonts: loads the fonts used on the website
• Cloudflare: hosting, delivery of market data files, and storage of usage information
• WhatsApp and email: support and plan purchase conversations you start with us

These providers process data under their own privacy policies. We share only what each service needs to work, and we never share your journal data with any of them.

We may also disclose information when required by law, such as in response to a court order or a request from a government authority, or to protect the platform against fraud or misuse. If TradeWithTech is ever transferred to or merged with another business, your information may be transferred as part of that, under the same protections described here.

7. Referrals and public content

Some information is visible to others:

• Referrals: if you sign up or buy using someone's referral link or code, that person can see a masked version of your email (for example, ra***@gmail.com) and details of your purchase, such as the plan and amount. They are never given your full email, phone number or any other details.
• Shared links: when you share a watchlist, preset, strategy or custom indicator using a link, anyone with that link can view it. Shared links cannot be edited or removed later, including after your account is deleted, so please share only what you are comfortable making public.
• Blog comments and reviews: comments you post on our blog, and reviews you allow us to feature, are publicly visible with your display name.

8. How long we keep your data and how to delete it

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active.

To delete your account, email us at support@tradewithtech.in from your registered email address. We will permanently delete your profile, saved settings, watchlists, strategies and custom indicators, and remove your sign-in account, within 30 days of your request.

After deletion, we keep only the following limited records:

• your email address and mobile number, solely to prevent the same person from claiming the free trial again
• payment records, as required for accounting and tax purposes
• usage logs, which are used only in aggregate to improve the platform
• referral records, so that rewards already earned remain accurate
• content you shared publicly through a link, as described in section 7

Your journal data is not stored by us, so you can delete it at any time directly from your browser and your Google Drive.

9. Your rights

Under Indian data protection law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you have the right to:

• ask what personal data we hold about you and how it is used
• correct or update your information; most details can be edited directly on your Profile page
• request deletion of your account and personal data, as described in section 8
• withdraw your consent, which may mean we can no longer provide the service to you
• raise a complaint about how your data is handled

To use any of these rights, email us at support@tradewithtech.in. We aim to respond within 7 working days.

Grievance contact: Shilpi Verma, TradeWithTech, support@tradewithtech.in. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India.

10. Children

TradeWithTech is meant for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, please contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the platform changes. The "Last updated" date at the top always shows the latest version. For important changes, we will inform registered users by email or on the website.
